Partner Bios
Sylvia I. Onyejekwe, Esq. is the Managing Partner of Onyejekwe & Associates, LLP. Her primary focus is Family law. She has a Bachelors degree in Social Work from The Ohio State University. She has devoted her life to helping the less fortunate and disenfranchised persons. Throughout her professional career, she has spent time working with children and families, either in a Social Worker capacity or as an Attorney. She has been through the divorce process in her own personal life and truly understands the toll it may take on a person. Because of this experience, she takes a different approach in her representation of clients.
In addition, she is passionate about issue that involve social and economic justice. She spends a great portion of her practice taking on employment discrimination matters as well as personal injury matters. She believes in the concept of equitability and fairness for all and fights vigorously to achieve that end.
She is a very compassionate person, who offers not only legal services to her clients, but emotional support to help her clients get through their difficult situations. Her clients appreciate her because she is not only their lawyer, but their confidant, friend, and support system. Clients say,she is exceptionally motivated, intelligent, and aggressive; as she does not take a cse she does not believe in, which has made her a great choice for clients who want a lawyer on their side.
